This privacy policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit this personal portfolio website. The site is a static website hosted on Firebase Hosting. There is no contact form and no analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

Hosting
This website is served as static files via Firebase Hosting (Google). When pages are requested, the hosting provider may process technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time of access, requested file/URL, user agent) where required to operate and secure the infrastructure. I have only limited influence over the hosting provider’s concrete logging configuration and retention. The legal basis for this technically necessary processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website).
Server and access data
Beyond hosting itself, I do not run my own server-log analytics, tracking, or statistics on this website. I do not create user profiles.
Local storage (localStorage)
This website does not set tracking cookies. The browser may store preferences locally so appearance and language persist on your next visit: (1) theme – light or dark color scheme; (2) fb-locale – selected language (de/en). These values stay on your device and are not sent by me to a server. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
No analytics or marketing tools
This website currently does not embed services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, marketing tag managers, or comparable tracking tools.
Getting in touch
There is no contact form. If you contact me by email (mailto link) or another channel you choose, the data you send (e.g. email address, message content) is processed to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual communication) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering inquiries).
External links and social networks
The website links to external services (e.g. LinkedIn, Xing, GitHub, Instagram). When you open those links, the privacy policies of the respective providers apply. I do not embed social plugins that transmit data to social networks merely because you load this site.
Your rights (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, you have in particular the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, an informal message to the contact address below is sufficient.
